Children's Anxiety

While medications may be proven effective to cure anxiety disorder, other forms of therapy may be better options.

The effects of medication on children's body may not be promising. As we know, they are work in progress. They do not have fully developed organs as adults have. They are still in the process of constant development. They may display symptoms of negative drug reactions such as allergies, drowsiness and dizziness. However, if the condition requires immediate response, medications may be recommended by doctors. But, this is not with the same dosage as adults need to take. If the drug has the tendency to cause addiction among children, they monitor it carefully. In most cases, doctors would choose to recommend psychotherapy other than medications.
