Slimming with Green Tea

You can now get slimmer faster by drinking green tea as substitute for water. Green tea has L-carnitine as well as resveratrol that work together to burn fats. Using it as your drink during work out will maximize the calories burned and prevent dehydration.

Too much water loss can cause dehydration and result in dry skin. This can make you look old and haggard. Green tea has antioxidants that prevent this. Although it is a diuretic and will let you urinate more, it also contains minerals and other trace elements so that you can drink as much of it as you want. You cannot do this with water, since too much water intake can cause water toxicity and electrolyte imbalance. This can be fatal especially for sensitive people.

If you do not like drinking green tea you can take in green tea capsule supplements. This has the same effects as the green tea drink. And if you have a sweet tooth, you can opt for green tea smoothie or green tea frappe. Green tea flavoured cakes and cookies are also available.

The slimming effect of green tea is more effective than that of red wine and works even better with exercise and a sensible slimming diet regimen. If you are not interested in slimming regimen but still want to lose weight, you can use green tea as your water by brewing a dilute tea mixture without sugar or with a sugar substitute. You can still get your exercise by walking or climing the stairs. If you are living in a building, get off the elevator two or more floors below your apartment and use the stairs to get there. You can also park your car a block or more away from your office building and walk the rest of the way.

After your physical activity, you can refresh yourself with a glass of iced green tea or a hot one depending on your preference. Adding fruits or natural fruit juices that also burns calories like pineapple or citrus fruits will make drinking green tea even more refreshing and more nourishing since you will get vitamins and other nutrients not found in green tea alone.
