Bob Hurley (owner and creator of Hurley International) created his company in 1979. When he started up the company he was just a regular "surfer dude" that wanted durable surf wear, a good look, and a good price. His wants turned into personal goals and those goals turned into very successful achievements. The Hurley clothing line is very popular with the younger generations. The 14-24 year old age bracket seems easily influenced by famous musicians, surfers, and other athletes who sport the Hurley clothing brand. These famous people who wear the Hurley clothing are huge idols and American icons with great reputations in their field of work. Fans who look up to these people feel that on some level they too can achieve success like their idols if they conform to "the look" and so in turn they too purchase Hurley clothing. It is kind of like the idea imitation is the best form of flattery; they go in hand in hand. The Hurley clothing line carries dresses, shorts, skirts, t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, bathing suits, and many other items someone who frequents the beach would wear.

One of the more popular articles of clothing found in the Hurley clothing line tend to be the Hurley shorts. The mens Hurley shorts tend to reach the knee cap and usually in comparison to competitors run a little longer in length. The women's Hurley shorts are pretty short and give off the daisy duke look. Both men's and women's shorts come in all sorts of colors, designs, and patterns. However, the girls selection has a lot more brighter colors to choose from. The men's selection, although does have a few brightly colored pairs, the majority tend to be in the blue, gray, and tan shades. The Hurley shirts they carry are also very brightly colored and come in a variety of unique designs. Some of their shirts also come with the company's logo printed across the chest or somewhere on the article of clothing.

My favorite new men's shirt is the V-neck. It does give off a metro sexual vibe, but I promise it is a very attractive look that most celebrities have been wearing for a while now. My favorite new women's shirt is actually not even quite a shirt it is more of a bathing suit. It is called the Bandeau and is similar to a tube top, but only covers the same amount of skin as a bra or bathing suit, which means it is a tube of material covering up the chest and leaving the stomach to show. It looks great with a pair of shorts, jeans, and even a skirt. So you can match the Bandeau with pretty much anything and it is perfect for a BBQ or a day at the beach.

Another favorite piece of clothing Hurley carries is the Hurley hoodies. The Hurley hoodies, just like the rest of the apparel sold at Hurley is bright and loud. The Hurley hoodies are perfect for summer nights, fall afternoons at a foot ball game, and even cold days in the winter.
