The Shocking Moments of Lost Season 6

With the series finale already set for May 23, although episode 13 aired last week, there was bound to be a gap somewhere. Originally, it looked like Lost Season 6 would go on uninterrupted until May 11, when episode 6:16 would have aired - leaving fans 12 days to wait for the series finale.

Instead, there is no new episode this week, as episode 14 is being saved for May 4. Afterward, episode 15 will come on May 11, with part one of the finale on May 18 - leaving fans just five days to wait for the Lost Season 6 finale.

The wait is already getting hard for Losties, especially now that the end has been filmed. The final day of shooting was last weekend, meaning that the cast and crew now know how it all ends. As such, they are bound to get even more questions from fanatics until May 23.

Let's take this opportunity to recap the top 3 most shocking/important/cool moments and reveals of this season (so far!).

The biggest cliff-hanger of Season 5 was the question "Did the bomb work, or didn't it? We still don't know the answer, but the alternate timeline has brought plot twists and turns that few could have imagined before the Season 6 premiere. Hurley's lucky, Jack's a dad, John's a substitute teacher engaged to Helen, Jin and Sun aren't married but are pregnant, Sayid's still a killer but his brother is married to Nadia, Ben is a high school history teacher with a PhD, Kate's maybe a murder, Sawyer and Miles are cops, Claire's trying to unload her unborn baby, Charlie's a drug addicted musician, and Desmond is Widmore's right hand man.

Flocke was the Man-In-Black, who was also the mysterious Smoke Monster that's haunted the LOSTies since Season 1. I think the entire country gasped in unison when we discovered what, or who, Smokey was. The part of the mystery that does remain is whether or not Flocke is good or evil.

One of the most mysterious characters in LOST history, fans has been dying to get a peek into Richard Alpert's past.  Richard was brought to the island in 1867 as a slave the Black Rock. He made a deal with Jacob that he would communicate with those who come to the island on Jacob's behalf in return for immortality. Richard also has some interactions with the Man-In-Black, but chooses the side of Jacob.

For those of you who don't know the story of Lost, here's a brief summary of the series.  After Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air on ABC's "Lost" TV series and crashed on a Pacific island, its survivors were forced to find inner strength they never knew they had in order to survive. But they discovered that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, housing and hatches with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as "The Others," and a mysterious man named Jacob. The survivors have also found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock, a downed Beech craft plane from a failed drug run, the remains of an ancient statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative—a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past.
