Christian Audigier, French designer and entrepreneur known as 'king of jeans', has created his brand name due to his aesthetic feeling and taste for trend. While living and working in New York City Christian Audigier founded his own company and gave it his name. "Ed Hardy" collection is named after the famous American tattoo artist, a master of his work, and based on his imagery. Ed Hardy works in tattoo, print and picture business for 40 years and he is known as "the godfather of modern tattoo". He has mastered Japanese, American, Cholo, tattoo, surf and hotrod iconography. One of his creations is a 500 foot long painting of 2000 dragoons, finished in 2000 and exhibited in several galleries. It was created in honor of the new millennium and the Dragoon year.
