How to Find Cheap Lab Coats

For today’s medical professionals, a lab coat is de rigueur for work wear.  Traditional lab coats reach mid-thigh and come in white.  They are made of a poly-cotton blend and are durable.  They need to be; both lab coats and uniform scrubs undergo a lot of cleaning.  Previously, uniform scrubs came in one or two colors and one cut.  Lab coats were always white and in the same cut.  Nowadays, since so many health care providers wear scrubs on a daily basis, there has been a fashion revolution with a variety of colors, patterns, and cuts available in both lab coats and scrubs.  However, most lab coats are still found in their traditional white color.

Where does one find lab coats?  And more specifically, how does one find cheap lab coats?  Near to most hospitals is a scrub shop, where the hospital personnel can find uniform scrubs and lab coats.  Non-slip shoes and other medical clothing needs will also be found at these shops.  However, their prices can be pretty steep.  The only advantage to going into a scrub shop is to test the fabric quality and fit of the brand of lab coat you wish to purchase.

After you have done some research into the brand, cut, and size of the lab coat you wish to buy, it is time to go to where the deals really are: the internet.  There are a variety of websites that offer lab coats and uniform scrubs, often at a discounted price.  For instance Sciplus has a variety of overstock items that it sells at deep discounts.  However, their inventory is constantly changing.  Apluslabcoats gives a list of different online retailers that sell lab coats and scrubs.  This site also offers online coupons and discounts for most of the sites it lists.
