The Shichida Method is founded by Professor Dr Makoto Shichida. It is an enrichment school that teaches babies from 3 months to 6 years old using the right brain education method. The schools can be found in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and a few more other countries.
Flash cards, photographic memory, linking memory, mandala and speed reading are methods used by Shichida schools.
Why Flash To Your Baby?
When you flash to your baby, you will show the pictures of the card, and that will benefit the right brain. When you say the words of the subject on the card, that will benefit the left brain.
So your baby will remember the pictures and at the same time he or she will be able to learn the words. They may not remember now, but don't be surprise they will be able to recall whatever they have learned naturally.
When To Flash To Your Baby?
You can start your baby as young as 3 months old, or even younger if you want. Babies at these age obviously cannot speak, but their right brain are able to process what you flash or teach. If your baby is older than one year old, it is never too late to start flashing.
Babies generally are not able to concentrate or focus for a long time. So each time you flash, take a short break and continue later. Shichida believes your baby can learn or absorb more when he or she is more relaxed.
How To Flash Cards?
When you flash the cards, make sure the cards are a little higher than your baby's eye. Make sure the cards are flash at a comfortable distance for your baby.
In Shichida schools, flash cards are flashed at least 1 card per second or faster. You may want to at start 1 card per second and gradually increase the speed. Flash at least two to three times a day and as many topics as possible.
You may start by flashing 100 cards per session and gradually increase to 1000 cards per session.
The most important thing to remember is to make sure your baby is relaxed and having fun. Your baby will absorb whatever they have learned.
